Food - Haato ... Follow Your Heart

I guess most of you would have known about Haato Ice Cream. But do you know that Haato, other than serving nice ice creams, they too have an outlet serving hot foods.

This outlet is located at Ridgewood Close (off Pandan Valley Condominium and Ridgewood Condominium). Haato @ Ridgewood is rather inaccessible and difficult to find. But I guess due to this reason, it gives the place a very special feel and it is really very relax to be there. Haato @ Ridgewood serves food like pasta, baked rice, pizza and finger food. They also got a small selection of Japanese food like Japanese pasta, Japanese don and even curry rice. For sweet delights, enjoy an affogato or waffles with gelato.

We'd decided to give this place a try with the kids because they serve Oswald favourite food, pasta and pizza. We ordered ...

Fries - Hint of rosemary herd, gave a new light to the boring fries.

Chicken Baked Rice - Nothing special and I don't really like it cos the taste of capsicum is too strong to my liking.

Hawaiian Pizza - Just the same old thing. Ham, cheese and pineapple ... what can go wrong.

Chicken Wings - The heavy bread crumb coating made the wings impossible to recognise but the wings are nicely marinated and the bread crumbs made it very crispy.

Personally, I do really like the atmosphere there. However, food there is only just so-so. Nothing spectacular was served though I do like their chicken wings pretty much. I seriously guess is the environment, the setting, Haato @ Ridgewood is in which make people want to come back. It really make you feel very much at home and no fuss no rush.

Updates ...

It had been awhile since I last updated my blog. I'd been busy managing Snappity Snap and keeping the kids occupied during the sch holidays ... hardly got anytime for myself during this period.

Anyway, Owein and myself just attended a pot luck session. This pot luck session is organised by the people behind Tots Playhouse, his weekly meet-ups at CCK Bible Centre. Actually there wasn't any request that we bring anything down but I KPO lah kekeke just want to bring something down to share with everyone. So ... I'd made something which I had not made it for the longest time ... Baby Pandan Chiffon Cake.

Result turned out to be good and everyone enjoyed it. I am so glad that I'm able to share something with everyone. Hope I will be able to continue to share in a regular basis :)

HAPPY B'DAY to ME !!!

1 year older ... 1 year wiser ... adding on, I've got 30 years of wisdom already ... hahahaha. Finally hit the another round figure and this time ... it is starting with the No. 3 !!!

Headed out with friends for a very nice Jap meal at The Central. Too bad did not take note of the restaurant name but the food was really good there. The sashimi was really fresh and for the 1st time ... I've tried wasabi, scallop and sea urchin. The restaurant serve freshly grated wasabi and seriously, it is really very different. The smell is not that pungent and it does not choke you up when you eat it. Those are the 2 reasons which made me stay away from wasabi for the longest time. It was really a great place, price abit steep though but definately worth returning back to eat again.

Little treats for everyone ...

This week is last week of school and Term 1 official ends. Owein's session with Tots Playhouse would end of the term on Thursday. Since it is the last class, I've decided to give all the kids in class a little treat.

Made everyone mini Orange Blueberry Cupcake. I've also packed some for the little ones in Oswald's class. Not sure those in Oswald's class, but everyone in Owein's class like the cake :)
